Report of the Fall Membership Meeting

The Fall 2007 Membership Meeting was held on November
24th at the Nassau Club, in Princeton, and a productive meeting it
  was!

• The Society voted to have joint luncheons with the US
Daughters of 1812, New Jersey, in the future.  The two
organizations will maintain their separate identities and have
separate meetings, but will join for the luncheons and
  accompanying programs.

• Mr. John Taylor of Marlton was elected to membership.

• Mr. Fenner updated the membership on the status of the Gravesite Registration Project:
-  The junior college honor society will go through the Union County and Hudson County Veterans' Grave
Registrations and obtain those listings for veterans of the War of 1812.
-  60,000 grave registration documents in Mercer County were examined by Les Salsbury and his
daughter, Lynette Greenwald, which yielded 65 veterans.

•  Mr. Fenner has been investigating the production of a blazer patch for Society members.  The Society authorized the production process to move forward.

•  Mr. DeGroat brought the new name tags to the meeting to be proofed by the members before they were drilled for use.

•  The Society made a $300 donation to the 1783 Committee for the 225th Anniversary Celebration of Princeton's serving as the nation's capital for 5 months in 1783.

• The slate of new officers was elected.
